About The Author

My name is Leilah Thiel - I live in Mount Lehman, British Columbia and I'm from Lafayette, Indiana. I've been interested in plants and animals for most of my life; much of that interest was given to me by my parents, Eric and Janice Thiel. Mom knows more about plants than anyone I know, and Dad knows about and has been to almost every natural area in the state. His book, "Get Out of Town", gives descriptions and directions for natural areas near Lafayette - and his web site has information about places all over the state.
